# Getting Started
> Register your business, complete verification, and activate your Pagsmile Banking account.
Set up your business account through the Pagsmile onboarding portal. This guide takes you from phone verification to company review and account activation.
**Your path:** Register → Verify your business and representatives → Submit for review → Activate your account.
Register your company and begin business verification.
Continue an existing session or check your application status.

## Before you begin
Keep your phone and email accessible throughout onboarding. Prepare the following information so you can complete each section without interruption.

**KYB** (Know Your Business) checks your company's information and documents. **Identity verification** checks the individuals associated with the company. Both are part of this business onboarding flow.
## Account registration
Open the [onboarding portal](https://banking-onboarding.pagsmile.com.br/onboarding) and enter your mobile phone number, including the country code.
Review the consent text, select the required confirmation, and choose **Send Verification Code**. Enter the six-digit code sent to your phone to continue.
**Screen 1.** Open the registration page and enter your mobile phone number.
**Screen 2.** Review the consent statement and select Send Verification Code.
**Screen 3.** Enter the six-digit code sent to your mobile phone.
Provide your full company name, CNPJ, and email address. Review the information and the consent statements, select the required confirmations, and choose **Continue**.
**Screen 4.** Complete the company registration form with your legal business details.
**Screen 5.** Review the company information and required confirmations, then select Continue.
Choose **Start KYB Verification**, then **Start Verification**. In the verification window, select your preferred language and choose **Get Started**.
The business verification process is provided through AIPrise and contains seven sections, described below.
**Screen 6.** Select Start Verification under Start KYB Verification. This guide follows the verification path.
**Screen 7.** Open the language selector before starting verification.
**Screen 8.** Select your preferred language from the available options.
**Screen 9.** Select Get Started to begin business verification.
## Complete business verification
Work through all seven sections in order. Use the details on your company records and review any information filled in automatically before continuing.
Upload your **Articles of Association (Contrato Social)** to populate the company information form. If you do not have the document available, select **Click here to fill form manually** and enter the details yourself.
Review the company information and complete all required fields. Manual entry replaces the automatic form filling; you must still provide the documents requested later in the application.

**Screen 12.** Review the company details, complete the required fields, and select Next.
Enter your business phone number and email address, then choose **Next**.
**Screen 13.** Enter the business phone number and email address, then select Next.
Enter your company's business address, including the country, street address, state, city, and postal code. Choose **Next**.
**Screen 14.** Complete the business address fields and select Next.
Select your entity type, business model, and industry. Describe your main business activities, provide your website URL, select your expected monthly processing volume, and enter the company incorporation date.
Review the completed profile and choose **Next**.
**Screen 15.** Select the entity type that matches your company records.
**Screen 16.** Select the business model that describes how your company operates.
**Screen 17.** Select the industry that best describes your business.
**Screen 18.** Describe your activities, add your website, select the expected monthly processing volume, and enter the incorporation date.
Upload the supporting documents requested in the form. These may include a bank account opening letter or statement, proof of business address, and a corporate structure chart. Follow the document types and file requirements shown for your application, then choose **Next**.

Choose **Add Related Person**, complete the required information, and select **Save**. The form includes the person's role, name, date of birth, ownership information, phone number, and email.
Next, choose **Verify Now** for the person and complete the [identity verification steps](#representative-identity-verification).
Saving a representative's details does not complete their verification. Complete the required identity checks before continuing to the next section.
**Screen 20.** Select Add Related Person to register a representative.
**Screen 21.** Complete the representative details and select Save.
**Screen 22.** Complete the required identity verification before proceeding to the next section.
**Screen 23.** Select Verify Now for the representative you want to verify.
If your company has corporate shareholders, choose **Add Related Company** and complete the requested details. Review the application, then choose **Submit** to send it for review.
**Screen 42.** Add a related company if corporate shareholders apply, then submit the completed business application.
**Screen 43.** The submission confirmation marks the completion of the business application submission.
## Representative identity verification
After selecting **Verify Now**, choose **Get Started**, review the preparation screen, and select **I am ready**. Complete the five checks below.

| **1. Personal information** | Enter the requested personal details, then choose **Next**. |
| **2. Identity document** | Select the issuing country and an accepted document type. Photograph or upload the front and back when requested, and review the images before continuing. |
| **3. Selfie** | Choose **Take photo** and follow the on-screen instructions to capture your selfie. |
| **4. Address** | Enter your residential address and choose **Next**. |
| **5. Proof of address** | Select the document type, upload the requested proof of address, and choose **Submit**. |
Use clear, readable document images with all required details visible. For the selfie, keep your face within the frame and follow the lighting and positioning guidance on screen.
After the identity verification request is submitted, return to the business application to complete any remaining sections. Submitting an identity check and submitting the full business application are separate steps.
**Screen 26.** Enter the requested personal information and select Next.
**Screen 27.** Choose the issuing country and an accepted identity document type.
**Screen 28.** Capture or upload the front of the identity document.
**Screen 29.** Review the image for clarity and completeness before confirming it.
**Screen 30.** Capture or upload the back of the document when requested.
**Screen 31.** Position your face in the frame and select Take photo.
**Screen 32.** Enter your residential address and select Next.
**Screen 33.** Upload the requested proof of address and select Submit.
**Screen 34.** The confirmation screen indicates that the identity verification request has been submitted.

## Resume your application
To continue an existing verification session or check its status:
1. Return to the onboarding verification flow and choose **Resume Existing Session** when prompted.
2. Enter the email address you used to start the session and choose **Send OTP**.
3. Enter the one-time password sent to that email and choose **Verify OTP**.
4. Review the application status and complete any outstanding steps.
**Screen 35.** Select Resume Existing Session to return to an application already in progress.
**Screen 36.** Enter the email address used to start the verification session and select Send OTP.
**Screen 37.** Enter the email verification code and select Verify OTP. The code is valid for 10 minutes.
**Screen 38.** Review the status shown beside each representative in your application.
The email verification code is valid for **10 minutes**. If it does not arrive, check your spam folder. This email code is separate from the phone verification code used during registration.
Open the representative's entry and edit the details. After changing submitted information, choose **Verify Now** to complete verification again.
**Screen 39.** Use the edit control to update a representative entry.
**Screen 40.** After changing submitted details, select Verify Now to complete verification again.
You can remove an existing entry or choose **Add Related Person** to enter someone else's details. Each newly added person must complete the required identity verification.
**Screen 41.** Use the entry controls to remove a person, or select Add Related Person to add someone new.
## Review and account activation
After you submit the complete business application, its status changes to **Under review**. The Pagsmile team checks the submitted information and documents.
Monitor your email for updates and any requests for additional information. Registration or submission alone does not mean your application has been approved.
**Screen 44.** Check the application status while the submitted information is under review.
Once approved, the application shows **Application Approved** and you receive an email notification. An activation email provides the link to set up your account.
**Screen 45.** After approval, follow the instructions for the account activation email.
**Screen 46.** Open the activation email and select Activate My Account.
Open the activation email and choose **Activate My Account**. On the **Set Your Login Credentials** page, complete the requested fields, create and confirm your password, and choose **Activate Account**.
Follow the on-screen instructions to sign in to Pagsmile Banking.
**Screen 47.** Complete the login credential fields, create and confirm your password, and select Activate Account.
## Continue with API integration
Once your account is activated, prepare your API access with your Pagsmile integration representative. Confirm the base URL and credentials issued for your integration, then follow the request-signing guide.
